Hi — I'm Mike, the founder of PuzzlePup, and this is my service dog, Normie.

I was born with half a working heart — a condition called HLHS (hypoplastic left heart syndrome). It has meant more surgeries and hard days than I can count, and through every one of them, Normie has been right beside me. As I told KTTC: “Without him, I don't know if I'd be here still.”

So when it came to what went into his body, “good enough” was never going to cut it. I went looking for supplements clean enough for the dog who has gotten me through everything — and I couldn't find any I fully trusted. So I started making my own, at my kitchen table, for Normie. That's how PuzzlePup began.

Why “PuzzlePup”?

Normie is a working dog, and working dogs need their minds engaged as much as their bodies. The name is a nod to enrichment — the snuffle mats, puzzle-shaped treats, and daily habits that keep a dog curious, calm, and content. Everything we make starts from that same place: real care for the whole dog.
